ID Cards… ASAP
The set up for school ID Cards should be done prior to the start of the school year. School usually want ID cards ASAP, so in order to expedite the process it is crucial that the school provide the desired layout to you prior to the start of the academic year.
Once you have obtained the layout from the school it should be submitted to Century Color right away. This allows us to do the initial set up and run tests, which is especially important if there is a bar code.
To help improve this process for the coming school year, we have printed out a sample of each ID card you used this school year. Each print out shows the required fields and where to map these fields in order for the ID card to be produced as requested. If any fields are left blank in the database, they will not appear on the ID card.
The person responsible for placing these orders should be familiar with this information and review all data received from the school to insure all the necessary information is included. If information is missing the school needs to be notified and a new database with all necessary information should be sent.
